According to the report issued July 2, 2015 by the EIA, natural gas in storage increased for the week of June 26, 2015 by 69 BCF. This is compared with an increase of 102 BCF for this time period one year ago, and 75 BCFG for the 5-year average.
Producers have injected 144 BCFG since June 12 compared with 212 BCFG for the same time period one-year ago, and 161 BCFG for the 5-year average.
Gas production has clearly declined the past three weeks. Assuming a steady gas to oil ratio, oil is likely declining at the same rate. This trend is important because it reflects a decrease in gas injection against the prevailing 5-year average - something that hasn't occurred in at least a decade.
